On May 27, 2008 Owen became an MD graduating from Cornell Medical School!! This was a huge accomplishment! He is truly amazing and excels in anything he wants to achieve. The graduation ceremony took place in the famous Carnegie Hall. The saying goes, "if you want to get to Carnegie Hall practice, practice, practice." Owen says, "If you want to get to Carnegie Hall study, study, study!" Owen has definitely studied hard the last 4 years and it has paid off. Not only did he graduate from one of the best Medical School's in the country, he was also recognized by the best Orthopeadic Hospital in the world, the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) for an honorary award in Orthopaedics. Ryder is so blessed to have Owen as a father and I am so blessed to have him as a husband. Way to go hun!
We had a fabulous last week in our favorite city...NYC. We already miss it terribly but we are so excited to start a new chapter of our lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico for Owen's Orthopeadic Surgery Residency. We bought a house and I can not emphasize how excited I am about the washer/dryer and DISHWASHER...I haven't had one in 8 years!!! To see pictures of our first home see the link below:

We had my parents, the Heids, my aunt, uncle, niece, and grandma come out to NYC to share this special week with us. Thank you everyone for coming!

Congratulations Owen!!! You guys have so much exciting things happening for you!! I love it! Your house looks awesome! Can't believe the price difference in houses. So nice!! Hopefully we'll get to see you guys while your in good ol' Alaska. Miss you guys!
Oh my! That is some exciting stuff and it explains why you haven't blogged in a while. busy busy! I should come visit you in NM some time. It's a lot closer to LA than NYC was. I'm so glad things are going well! Love and miss you!!
Hey! Nice to hear all about it! First of all, congratulations! Secondly, love the house. Is that Ryder's stuff already laying out in the living room? Or that the previous tenants stuff in the visual tour? That's so exciting for you. Hopefully you made it all safe and sound.. and are all settled in your new place.. with a yard, dishwasher, and washer/dryer... so silly, those things that make things just perfect! Something great for each of you!
